Shuseki Shihan Hugh Kelley, 10th Dan UMAAI Founder, Director, Chief Instructor and  High Dan Board President of Glendale, California USA, is the Former Senior Student of the late Soke Shogo Kuniba, 10th Dan,  SEISHIN KAI MARTIAL ARTS, Inc., (Motobu Ha Shito Ryu Karate Do, Goshin Do and Kobu Do) and SEISHIN KAI INTERNATIONAL JAPAN BUDO ASSOCIATION (Kuniba Ha Karate Do).  Shihan Hugh Kelley was the Director, President and General Manager of his Teacher's (Soke Shogo Kuniba) aforementioned Organizations, and a Standing Member of the Board of Directors for SEISHIN KAI KARATE UNION of Osaka, Japan, for which Soke Shogo Kuniba was also the Family Head.  Shihan Hugh Kelley started his Martial Arts training June 17th, 1952 and was the first non-Japanese to receive the rank of Hachidan, 8th Grade Black Belt (1985) from a recognized Japanese Karate Do Organization, SEISHIN KAI KARATE DO UNION of Osaka, Japan. Formerly from Mobile, Alabama USA, Shihan Kelley now lives in California where he is a professional Hollywood Film Maker and a Martial Arts Grand Master.

Soke Masaharu Sakimukai, 10th Dan UMAAI Chief Adviser, UMAAI Technical Director and UMAAI High Dan Board Member is originally from Japan, now living in Jacksonville, Florida USA, is a World renown Grandmaster of Shorin Ryu Karate Do.  A close friend to the late Soke Shogo Kuniba, 10th Dan and a close friend and confidant to Shihan Hugh Kelley.  Soke Masaharu Sakimukai is well known for his abilities in Karate Do, Iai Do, Goshin Do, Jo Do and as a Tournament Judge. Soke Sakimukai recently entered the world of entertainment by appearing as Interpol Policeman Zenryu Ogami in the feature film "CAGE 2."  Soke Grandmaster Masaharu Sakimukai believes those who are in pursuit of the Budo must develop strong character, and uphold the principles of etiquette.

Soke Leo T. Fong, 10th Dan UMAAI Adviser and UMAAI High Dan Board Member, is a Master Teacher and long time friend of Shuseki Shihan Hugh Kelley and the late Bruce Lee.  He is originally from China but now lives in California USA.  He is known the World over for his expertise in Gung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Jeet Kuen Do, Escrima and Arnis.  Sifu Leo T. Fong has written several Martial Arts books and has appeared in and starred in numerous motion pictures including playing the part of Interpol Policeman Tanaka in "CAGE 2.

Shihan Wesley Lambert, 9th Dan UMAAI Associate Director, UMAAI Associate Chief Instructor, UMAAI Kobu Do Shihan and High Dan Board Member of Chickasaw, Alabama has been the student/close friend of Shihan Hugh Kelley since 1968.  Shihan Lambert has trained with Soke Shogo Kuniba, Shihan Kyoshin Kayo and Shihan Masaio Tateishi all from the SEISHIN KAI KARATE UNION of Osaka, Japan, as well as, Soke Masaharu Sakimukai.  Shihan Wesley Lambert is the Head Instructor of the SARALAND KARATE DO CLUB (Karate Do/Goshin Do/Kobu Do/Weight Training).  Shihan Lambert is noted for/cited for, his training of Individuals who have suffered Strokes and Automobile Accidents, as well as other serious physical impairments.  Known for his power, Shihan Lambert has attended and/or taught many of UMAAI's Major Seminars.

Shihan Ketrick "Kit" Kelley, 8th Dan.  UMAAI Member since 1970 Shihan Ketrick Kit Kelley started his Martial  Arts  training in 1969 at the age of 4 with his father Shihan Hugh Kelley. He is well known for his Kumite, Kata and practical self-defense techniques. He is the winner of many, many tournament trophies and appeared in the motion picture "CAGE," playing the part of 'Cowboy' in the cage fight scenes. He was also the stunt double for Mr. Reb Brown.  Shihan Kit Kelley is the UMAAI Assistant Chief Instructor, UMAAI Kata Shihan, UMAAI Goshin Do Shihan and UMAAI High Dan Board Member. He has also trained with Soke Shogo Kuniba, Soke Masaharu Sakimukai, Shihan Kyoshin Kayo and Shihan Masaio Tateishi.

Shihan Patrick Delaney, 8th Dan. UMAAI Ambassador at Large, UMAAI Kata, UMAAI Iai Do Shihan, UMAAI High Dan Board Member and a student of Shuseki Shihan Hugh Kelley. Shihan Delaney started his Martial Arts training in 1972.  He is a professional U.S. Marine, having served his country all over the world including Desert Storm, Russia, Manila  and Okinawa  While stationed in Okinawa, Shihan Delaney trained in Iai Do. Named to The Best of The Best Rangers in the US Marine Corp.  We at UMAAI are proud to have Shihan Patrick Delaney as a long time member of the UNITED MARTIAL ARTS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL and we thank Shihan Patrick Delaney and the men and women like him who protect the Freedoms of the United States of America.  He has trained with Soke Shogo Kuniba and Soke Masaharu Sakimukai.  We appreciate you, Shihan Patrick Delaney.

Shihan Charles Thomas, 8th Dan. UMAAI Special Adviser to Shihan Kelley.  Began his Martial Arts training in 1975 and is a long time student of Shuseki Shihan Hugh Kelley.  Shihan Thomas appeared in the feature film "CAGE 2" playing the part of Master Zenryu Ogami's student in the Dojo scene. At the present time, Shihan Thomas works and resides near Birmingham, Alabama USA. Shihan Charles Thomas is a UMAAI Kata Shihan, UMAAI Goshin Do Shihan and UMAAI High Dan Board Member. He has trained with his Teacher's Teacher, Soke Shogo Kuniba and Soke Masaharu Sakimukai. Shihan Thomas is known for his in-depth study of Kata.
